Bus tickets can be purchased on board (only in cash) or with the WVV app. You can check timetables on the website of the local provider.

The Conference Venue, University Canteen, Physics Department, and Hotel Melchior are all within a 10-minute walking radius.

👉 You will have the opportunity to learn more about the history of Würzburg during a guided walking tour on the afternoon of July 2. If you would like to participate, please indicate “yes” under Join the social activity in the Registration form.

Presentation guidelines

  • Time slots for oral presentations consist of 15 minutes for the talk, followed by 5 minutes for questions and discussion. You are welcome to use your own laptop for the presentation. Alternatively, you can send it in PowerPoint or PDF format to ecrfb26@gmail.com.

  • Please make sure your poster does not exceed a maximum of 120 x 150 cm and is in portrait form.

Accommodation, Travel, and Reimbursement

This conference has no registration fee. Participants are responsible for arranging and paying for their own travel and accommodation. For accommodation, we have reserved a number of rooms at Hotel Melchior for the nights of June 30 to July 3. Booking details and instructions will be sent by email upon acceptance of your talk or poster.

The standard arrangement is a shared double room. You may indicate a preferred roommate in the Registration form. A limited number of single rooms is available for participants with special requirements. All rooms include breakfast.

The accommodation costs for rooms at Hotel Melchior can be fully reimbursed. Further information about the reimbursement procedure will be provided after the event.

You are free to choose another hotel; however, reimbursement is only possible for the suggested one with which the university has an agreement. Please note that the suggested accommodation is the most conveniently located for reaching the venue.

Meals

Meals for the entire duration of the conference are provided.

  • Lunch at the University Canteen: The canteen is a 5-minute walk from the conference venue. With your conference badge, you are entitled to a full meal: simply show it at the cashier.

  • Coffee Breaks and Poster Buffet: Four coffee breaks (one per session) are planned, with coffee, tea, and snacks provided. A buffet dinner will be served during the poster session.

  • Conference Dinner: The conference dinner will take place at Alte Mainmühle in the city center, offering Franconian cuisine and a scenic view of the Marienberg Fortress across the Main River.
